25" (64 cm.) Bisque socket head, large brown/green glass eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, row of teeth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition fully-jointed body with straight wrists, original white finger nails. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 15 (incised, with symbol as shown in photograph) Le Parisien (blue stamp). Comments: Jules Steiner, Successors, circa 1895. Value Points: superb and all-original, the bebe was presented by the prestige Parisian doll shop, Au Nain Bleu, with original Au Nain Bleu label on torso, on bonnet lining, and on soles of cream kidskin shoes; comprising lavish lace dress with silk lining, peach silk ribbons, extravagant bonnet of pleated crepe de chine and feathers, original undergarments, stockings and shoes.
