16" (42 cm.) Bisque socket head with plump facial modeling and slight smile, small blue glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, incised eyeliner, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded and outlined lips, dimples at each cheek corners, two porcelain upper teeth, modeled tongue, brunette mohair bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: made in Germany JDK 220 15. Comments: Kestner, circa 1912. Value Points: rare model with most appealing expression, superb quality of sculpting of laughter lines and dimples, original wig and rarer toddler body.
