Amber tinted bisque socket head, narrow brown glass sleep eyes in half-moon shape, painted long black curly lashes, black multi- feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded and accented lips, two porcelain upper teeth, tongue, black mohair wig in queue, amber tinted composition bent limb baby body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J made in Germany 10 243 JDK. Comments: Kestner, circa 1912. Value Points: outstanding model of Kestner's Chinese baby with superb sculpting, complexion and painting, original body and body finish, wearing elaborate antique Chinese silk costume with rich embroideries and beading, comprising headdress, tunic, pants and slippers.
