24" (61 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark painted lashes, thick brush stroked and feathered brows with decorative glaze, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the pale outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair, composition and wooden fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 137 17. Comments: circa 1890. Value Points: fine large size of closed mouth child, bearing close resemblance to Jumeau Triste, and enhanced by beautiful bisque and painting.
