All felt doll with swivel head, pressed and painted facial features, one eye painted closed as though winking, wide grinning expression with cigarette protruding from the mouth corner, brunette mohair wig, five piece body. Condition: very good, some dustiness. Marks: Lenci, D. E. Scavini Made in Italy 265A,Pat. Sept 8,1921 Pat N.142433 Bte SGDG X 87395 Brevetto 501- 178 (label inside costume). Comments: Lenci, from their early series, circa 1928,the label indicating that the model was patented in US, Italy and France. Value Points: amusing character wearing original felt striped shirt, pants, shoes and brimmed cap.
