18" x 12" box. A wooden box with decorative paper covers and gilt lettering "Service a Menage" opens to reveal well-fitted interior comprising porcelain dinner service for four, of white porcelain with embossed details, gilt scrolled edging, floral decorations. Included are four dinner plate, four soup bowls, footed bowl, large round platter, large oval platter, lidded tureen, two smaller plates, two oval plates, gravy boat, two glass carafes, four goblets, three bone-handled knives, four forks, four spoons, two bone serving utensils, four napkins, all arranged in original presentation in the box. The luxury presentation has the initials EB intertwined on the lid. Excellent condition, tiny chip on base of footed bowl. French, circa 1885.
