Description
16"l. x 12"h. A velvet-covered wooden platform decorated with ornate metal scroll has a center protruding rod with balancing bar at the top, from which are suspended an excelsior-filled golden teddy bear with shoe-button eyes and jointed limbs, and a paper mache headed clown with loosely jointed body and silk costumes. When the handle at the side is turned the balancing rod swivels around, and the clown and bear tumble somersaults. Maker unknown, circa 1915. Excellent condition albeit dusty, mechanism functions well. An amusing and imaginative toy.
