Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, carton torso containing mechanism, hinged hips, composition and wooden ball-jointed arms, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 536 4 (head) (bottom of feet marked with Imhoff patent numbers). Comments: Bahr and Proschild, with Ferdinand Imhoff mechanical walking body registered in 1900; when key-wound the doll lifts legs alternately and appears to walk along as she glides on the hidden sole rollers. Value Points: beautiful face and painting, rare walking mechanism.
