Polychromed terra cotta head depicting rounded-faced young boy, deeply-sculpted short brown curly hair, tiny enamel eyes, rounded nose, mouth modeled as though open with teeth and tongue, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted stockings and black shoes with red buckles, wearing original blue silk suit comprising lace jacket and short pants, black kidskin shoulder bag. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, wonderful characterization especially notable on this rare small size.
