12" (31 cm). Pressed bisque socket head, large blue glass enamel inset eyes with rich spiral threading, dark eyeliner, arched multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, body not original but of the period and appropriate, body repainted. Marks: F. 7 G. (block letters, head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1882. Value Points: delicate pale bisque is contrasted by rich decoration and deeply sculpted features on the desirable petite bebe.
