Description
11" (28 cm.) h. x 10"w. x 5 1/2"d. The heavy wooden cabinet with original dark finish features carved mounts on double front doors which have original decorative painted outlines in sienna and teal blue. The doors open to a fitted interior with eight wooden-knobbed drawers. The exterior features a hand-forged keyhole with key, and when the door is opened an elaborate and intricate locking system is revealed. The cabinet is preserved in remarkable original structural and painted finish. Austrian, late 1700s.
