11" (28 cm). Bisque socket head, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden fully jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 212. Comments: Bahr and Proschild, circa 1885,included is copy of photograph of Minnie Overturf of Edgar, Nebraska, the original owner of the doll, holding the doll. Value Points: rarer closed mouth doll in appealing petite size, holding tiny china doll, with charming provenance.
