17" (45 cm). Bisque socket head, small brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eye sockets, painted lashes, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Paris Bebe Tete Dep 6. Comments: Danel & Cie, circa 1891,the model was made by that firm for only one year before being forced to cease production by Jumeau; after that the trade name was used by Jumeau. Value Points: rare little girl with appealing anxious expression, fine bisque, original body and body finish, antique costume including woolen sailor jacket, suede leggings, leather boots.
