17" (45 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, pale blue glass enamel inset eyes with darker blue outer rims, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French body of metal armature form with padded stockinette cover, bisque hands, bisque lower legs and bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 3 (head and back of legs). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1875,with Ernst Gesland body from the original body patent by Pannier. Value Points: desirable and rare poupee model with distinctive body style allowing for infinite articulation, with rare bisque hands and feet, and in impeccable original condition.
