26" (66 cm). Bisque socket head, large brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, dark lushly painted lashes, widely arched brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: R. 12 R. Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1892,from the series of bebes commissioned for private stores, the initials of R.R. remain a mystery. Value Points: few examples of the mystery R.R. Bebe Jumeau exist, this with splendid sculpting, bisque, decoration, original wig, pate and body and wearing original red and white striped mariner costume, undergarments, shoes, socks, and red pressed felt bonnet with black velvet ribbons.
