Description
16" (41 cm). Firmly stuffed swivel head with long snout, shoe-button eyes, brown embroidered nose and mouth, stitched ears, excelsior-filled body with hump, disc-jointed elongated arms with felt paw- pads, hip-jointed short legs with large feet, felt paw-pads. Metal button in ear with Steiff block letters, underscored last F. Steiff, Germany, circa 1915. Excellent condition, mohair density and color is wonderfully preserved in this early example.
