Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Dep 9. Comments: circa 1895, from a rare series of doll heads commissioned from Simon and Halbig for Jumeau. Value Points: the closed mouth bebe has outstanding quality of bisque and complexion with superb painting including subtle cheek blushing and coral lips, original Jumeau body, and wearing antique original Marquis costume of maroon velvet with metallic gilt trim, embroidered silk vest, Bebe pin with "ruby" center.
