27" (68 cm). Thick paste porcelain shoulderhead portraying adult lady with square-shaped face, elongated strong throat, black sculpted hair in horizontal waves at the forehead and loosely waved around the side of face, captured into bead- decorated waves at the back of the head, well- defined eye sockets with painted blue eyes, white eye dots, red and black upper eyeliner, black single stroke brows, unusually defined nose, closed mouth with solemn expression,(new) muslin body and porcelain limbs, well costumed. Condition: generally excellent, original firing discoloration spot on shoulderplate. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: very expressive features and highly defined sculpting on the rare model.
