Description
13" (33 cm). Rich dark brown complexioned bisque shoulderhead of adult woman with oval face, slender elongated throat, dark glass inset eyes, black painted lashes and brows, unusually shaped broad yet refined nose, open mouth with two rows of teeth, pierced ears, brown kid leather fashion body with gusset jointing. Condition: bisque excellent, body original albeit well patched and worn. Comments: an identical model except having swivel head was made by Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1870. Value Points: very rare portrait poupee with refined sculpting, beautiful complexion, rare small size, lovely antique gown.
