Description
Each 8" (20 cm). Each has solid domed bisque socket head with brown complexion, painted black hair, pierced ears, composition five-piece body, bangle earrings, grass skirt; one has side- glancing glass sleep eyes, nose ring, open mouth with wide beaming smile, mohair tuft at top of head; the other has tiny brown glass sleep eyes, closed mouth with full lips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach Koppelsdorf Germany (both) 463 (model of googly eyed doll). Comments: circa 1920 from that firms South Sea series of dolls. Value Points: perfectly preserved dolls, the 463 model quite rare to find.
