32" (80 cm). Bisque socket head, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and fringed brows, rose blushed eyeshadow, shaded nostrils, accented eye corners, open mouth, shaded and outlined lips, row of porcelain tiny teeth, pierced ears, dimpled chin, brunette human hair over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Juillien 11. Comments: Armand Jules Juillien, his Bebe l'Universel produced for Paris Printemps department store, circa 1895. Value Points: rare to find bebe with rich decoration of blushing and dramatic eyes, original body and body finish.
