Description
4" diameter tureen (10 cm). An extensive porcelain dinner service for doll with many unusual serving pieces, of white porcelain background with aqua blue borders, gilt edging, and hand-painted fruit and floral designs; the set comprising footed fruit bowl with fretwork sides, two footed compotes, large tureen with acorn- shaped finial on the lid; small lidded matching tureen, two oval platters, two round platters, two sauce dishes, small footed bowl, lidded gravy boat with ladle, and eight plates. A large variety of fruits and flowers are shown, and each painting varies slightly. The set is preserved, in perfect condition, in its original wooden shipping box. French, circa 1875.
