21" (53 cm). Rose-tinted poured wax child with turned shoulderhead nestled downward, blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted brown eyeliner, separately inserted hair brows, closed mouth with shaded lips, separately inserted human hair in unusual auburn shade, softly-stuffed muslin stitch-jointed body, poured wax arms and lower legs, bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: English, circa 1885, the maker's mark on torso is illegible. Value Points: very pretty face with gentle dreamy expression, original body, antique costume comprising white cotton and lace dress, undergarments, shoes, socks.
