20" (51 cm). Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, rounded plump facial modeling, oval cobalt blue enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid gusset-jointed body with shapely torso, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Aux Reves des Enfance, Specialities de Poupees,40 Rue Richelieu Paris (body stamp). Comments: an early fashion model from Barrois, presented in the luxury childrens toy store of Aux Reves des Enfance, circa 1865,belonging to Georgette Fanny Boisseau, that specialized in "poupees and poupee dressing of all kinds" according to their advertisements. Value Points: very elegant lady doll with lovely painting and eyes, original signed body, is wearing a superb antique gown of aqua cashmere wool trimmed with brown velvet ribbons and lace, lace edged bonnet, undergarments, stockings and shoes, and is preserved in her original wooden packing box with advertising label from Aux Reves des Enfance.
