Description
13" (33 cm). Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, blue glass inset enamel eyes, painted lower lashes, single stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, brunette mohair wig, early composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Sonnenberg, maker unknown, circa 1885. Value Points: made to appeal to the French market, the beautiful child has endearing expression, closed mouth, lovely bisque, original rare body with original finish.
