Description
23" (59 cm). Solid domed bisque shoulderhead turned to the right, elongated yet plump face, narrow blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, kid gusset- jointed body with bisque forearms, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, one thumb restored. Comments: circa 1885,maker unknown but stylistically Kestner. Value Points: very beautiful portrait-like face with artistic attention to sculpting at eye corners, philtrum, facial shape, and finest quality bisque and painting.
