Description
20" (51 cm). Pressed sienna-tinted felt swivel head with angular features portrays a Native American, with painted facial features, high cheek bones, strong nose, sienna felt body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: very good, some facial fading, some costume dust. Comments: Lenci, circa 1920,from the earliest series produced by that firm. Value Points: very rare doll with portrait like expression used exclusively for this model, original felt and suede detailed costume with felt-feathered headdress that extends to the floor at the back, black mohair braids, beads, fringed tunic and pants, felt sack, and moccasins.
