Description
9" seated. Sculpted face of Native American with richly characterized and painted complexion and facial features, outlined eyes, broad nose, blushed cheeks and mouth, solemn expression, black mohair wig, seated position with body enwrapped in Indian flannel blankets, orange shirt, beads. Original paper label on underside describes the doll as Chief Multomah of the Chinookan tribe in Oregon. Made by Mary Frances Wood, circa 1930.
