Brown cloth doll with mask pressed facial features, painted brown side-glancing eyes, accented nostrils, closed mouth with wide beaming smile and painted row of teeth, black yarn hair captured beneath a plaid cotton bandanna, brown cotton stitch-jointed body. Wearing red cotton gown with white organdy pinafore apron, petticoat, pants, shoes, socks, bandanna. Cloth tag on costume "Madame Alexander, New York". Circa 1938.
