The peach cotton softly stuffed boy has red yarn hair, black shoe-button eyes with white background, diamond-shaped nose with black outline, four lower lashes on each eye, painted mouth line with red oval center, cheek blush intersected by lip line, stitch-jointed shoulders and hips, sewn-on red and white striped stockings and black shoes. Wearing original plaid shirt with blue trousers, blue and white cap, black bow. Attached to his torso is original cloth tag "Johnny Gruelle̴s Own Raggedy Andy Doll, Trademark Reg. U.S. Patent Off. Copyright 1920 by Johnny Gruelle, Georgene Novelties Inc. New York City, Exclusive Licensed manufacturers, Made in USA" and original "I Love You" red heart on chest.
