17". Mask pressed and painted face with narrow black "O" shaped eyes, comma brows, V-shaped nose, tiny lips, round cheek blush, black yarn hair under red felt beanie cap, muslin stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips, sewn-on green plaid socks and grey flannel shoes. Wearing red cotton dress with white collar and cuffs, undergarment. Knickerbocker, circa 1940. Created by artist Marge Buell in 1935,the Little Lulu comic strip was a favorite of the young Jane Withers who felt an affinity with Lulu's rascality.
