Description
8 1/2" (22 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head, brown sculpted hair peeking from the sides of green snood which encloses the crown and back of head, red ribbon banding and bow, tiny enamel eyes, downcast lips, painted teeth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted blue stockings and black shoes, wearing original folklore costume with woven floral design on apron, and carrying carved wooden baby lamb. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
