8.5" (22 cm.) l. 2 1/4"w. soles. Of claret-toned fine silk the ankle boots have gold band lacing on brass rimmed grommets and are trimmed with metallic embroidery, with white linen lining, thick narrow hand-shaped soles, wooden heels that are wrapped with a brass band having a purposeful circular disc at each outside edge. Excellent condition. Late 18th century.
