Description
A bisque-head boy with brown glass paperweight eyes, open mouth, brunette mohair wig, carton torso and legs, and bisque forearms, is standing upon a velvet-covered wooden base. He is wearing a silk artist's smock with large bow tie, trousers, leather boots and straw hat, and holds a palette in his left hand and an artist's brush in his right hand; an easel with a lithograph of an artist is posed in front. The bisque head, by Jumeau, is signed 2. Movements: he turns his head from side to side, and extends his brush back and forth to the palette. Decamps. France, circa 1900. 18" (46 cm). Two movements. One tune.
