Description
A wooden balancing bar is arranged upon a velvet covered wooden base and decorated with fringed velvet canopy that hides a mechanism that extends from one side of the bars to the other. A small bisque doll with closed mouth is balanced on tiptoe above the bar, wearing ivory silk gown. The bottom of the base is marked Depose with pencil script price of 87FRANCS. Movements: the doll moves from one side of the bar to the other, balanced on toe, twirling. France, circa 1910. 18"l. (46 cm). Two movements.
