Description
A bisque-head lady with blue glass eyes, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, metal hands, and carton torso is posed on piano stool at a piano. The piano is wooden with faux-rosewood finish and cast iron carved legs, and has ivory keyboard and music stand. The original box has label reading "1 piece, No 43, J.B. Secor's Mechanical Piano Player, Patent Applied For". Movements: she turns her head from side to side, and lifts hands up and down as though playing the piano. J.B. Secor, American. Circa 1880. 11"l. (28 cm). Two movements. One tune.
