
A bisque-headed lady with blue glass paperweight eyes, closed mouth, brunette mohair wig, separate bisque shoulderplate, elongated slender carton torso and legs, and bisque forearms is standing upon a gold velvet covered wooden base. She is wearing green silk costume with lace and rose silk ribbon trim, silk trimmed shoes, and carries a glass cologne bottle and hankie. The head, by Jumeau, is marked Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG. Gilt lettered on the front of the base is Vinagre de Toilette a Base d'Arnice, Medaille aux Expositions, and a paper label with name of tunes (illegible) is under the base. Movements: she turns her head side to side, nods, dabs perfume onto the hankie, freshens her face with the hankie. The automaton is from a series of publicity automata created by Leopold Lambert for prestigious Parisian boutiques and manufacturers, in this stance, Vingaigre de Toilette.
