
A bisque-head girl with brown glass eyes, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, carton torso and legs, bisque forearms, is standing upon a velvet covered wooden base. She wears pale green silk dress trimmed with silver beads and lace, matching bonnet, silk shoes and stockings. A paper mache egg is attached to her front torso, decorated with long stemmed flowers to match the flowers on her bonnet, and containing berries and a white mouse. The doll, made by Jumeau, is marked Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 4. The key is marked L.B. A paper label on the base indicates one tune, La Czarina. Movements: she turns her head from side to side, blowing kisses with her right hand, nods forward, and lifts the lid of the egg to reveal the contents; the mouse wiggles around. 20".
