
Standing upon a flat wooden base with green velvet cover is a bisque-head lady with blue glass paperweight eyes, closed mouth, beautifully painted features and complexion, separate bisque shoulderplate, blonde mohair wig, carton torso and legs, composition forearms. She is wearing a rose silk satin dress with painted floral designs, shirring detail, generous lace trim, rose silk shoes and stockings, silk bonnet. In her right hand is a powder puff; in her left hand is a mirror. The doll, made by Jumeau, is marked Depose Tete Jumeau, Bte SGDG 7. Movements: in a series of gracious and refined circular head movements, the doll turns to the right and lifts right arm to powder her face, then looks to the right and tilts her head upward to gaze into the mirror that she extends with her left hand.
