
Standing upon a velvet covered wooden base is a bisque-head doll with large blue glass paperweight eyes, closed mouth, especially fine painting of complexion and facial features, blonde mohair wig, carton torso and legs, bisque forearms. She is wearing an ivory silk dress with matching maroon velvet jacket with silk lapels, lace trim, striped silk bonnet, and ivory silk shoes. She carries a hankie in one hand and a perfume bottle in the other. The head, made by Jumeau, is marked Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 4. The key is marked L.B. Movements: the doll turns to the left and swivels the glass perfume bottle appearing to dab perfume into the hankie; she turns to the right, nods, and lifts hankie to her face.
