Description
A bisque-head girl with blue glass paperweight eyes, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, carton torso and legs, bisque forearms, is standing upon a maroon velvet covered wooden platform. She wears pale green silk dress with lace skirt, silk buttons, matching bonnet with upturned sides, silk shoes and stockings, and carries a silk fan and bouquet of flowers. The doll is marked Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 4. The paper label on base indicates that the tune is Les Roses Valse. Movements: the girl turns her head from side to side, nods, lifts her fan and fans herself, lifts her bouquet to smell the roses. By Leopold Lambert, France, circa 1890. 20" (52 cm). Four movements.
