Description
A bisque-head girl with blue glass paperweight eyes, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, carton torso and legs, and bisque hands is constructed with a paper mache bon-bon egg at front torso that contains an elaborate assortment of flowers inside, and stands upon a red velvet covered base. She wears an elaborate silk costume decorated with faux-jewels on dress and headdress. The doll is marked Depose Tete Jumeau 4. Movements: the girl turns her head from side to side, then nods head up and down; her right arm pivots to show the flowers she is holding and her left hand lifts the lid of her basket to show the flowers inside. Circa 1890. 20" (51 cm). Four movements. One tune.
