Within a wooden and gesso frame is an oil painting on tin with superimposed architectural features and buildings of carved wood with oil painted details. The scene features a harbor in the background, with a railroad bridge extending from one side of the harbor to the other, and a passenger bridge in another location. There are shaped waves in the foreground on which is a dimensional boat with many sails; church with clock tower and actual clock, a windmill and a waterwheel. Movements: the ship rocks up and down as the waves roll, the windmill turns, the water wheel removes, a train with four cars moves across the railroad bridge, and a family and dog walk across the passenger bridge.
