21" (53 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes with darker blue outer irises, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched brows, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig over cork pate, padded stockinette body over metal armature allowing for infinite articulation, bisque lower legs with bare feet, bisque hands, lovely costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 5 (head and shoulderplate). Comments: Gaultier, with Gesland body, circa 1875. Value Points: the beautiful doll has a rare body model, lovely complexion and painting, perfect bisque hands and feet, and is wearing a very fine original costume comprising two-piece walking suit, undergarments, green woven miniature purse with gilt frame, and brown leather heeled boots with green pom-pom trim.
