Description

10" overall (25 cm). A cardboard egg is covered with stylized 1920's style fabric, and folds open into four parts to reveal an interior covered with burgundy silk, and a little bisque-headed doll in silk kimono, seated upon a silk-covered candy box. The doll has solid domed bisque socket head with amber tinted complexion, black painted hair, tiny brown glass sleep eyes, closed mouth in pouty expression, five-piece amber-tinted composition baby body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: AM 353 5/0 K (doll). Comments: Germany, circa 1925,the candy box was made for the French market at that time. Value Points: most appealing and imaginative candy box doll is in perfectly preserved condition.
