Pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, almond shaped brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut, painted lashes, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with tiny tongue-tip between the shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, metal armature body with padded stockinette cover to allow infinite articulation, composition lower arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F. 9 G. (block letters on head) Gesland (body stamp). Comments: Francois Gaultier, circa 1882,with deposed body style produced by Gesland from the original Pannier patent. Value Points: the desirable early block letter model of Gaultier with exquisite sculpting and bisque, original rare body style, lovely antique costume of white pique dress, sous- sleeves, undergarments, lace bonnet, ivory silk shoes with silk rosettes.
