Bisque socket head, large brown glass sleep eyes that operate from patented Jumeau counterweight system, painted lashes, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, shaded nostrils, open mouth with outlined lips, row of six porcelain teeth, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French composition and wooden body with rare hinged walking legs, pull-string kiss-throwing mechanism. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG (impressed with artists checkmarks and impressed symbol for inverted-T opening). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1892,an interesting transitional model incorporating the Fouquet-Douville bisque construction for installation of eye mechanism, and Jumeau patented counterweight eye system; the doll is entirely original.
