Bisque swivel head with very slender facial shape and elongated throat on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, aquiline nose, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid upper torso, bisque forearms, hollow cone- shaped cylinder for candy forming the underskirt, with support stand and two lower legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1870,the doll was created as a luxury candy box for prestigious Parisian candy shop; the hidden candy box is easily removed. Value Points: rare facial portrait model has original wig, candy box torso and luxurious aqua silk taffeta and lace costume that appears original.
