16" (40 cm). Pressed bisque socket head, almond shaped pale blue glass inset eyes with darker blue outer rims and prominent black pupils, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eyeshadow, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, all wooden bebe body with dowel- jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 12Cm3J (incised on back torso). Comments: mystery maker, circa 1880,the rare body style has been identified on bebes by Bru, Huret and Jumeau. Value Points: very rare doll with compelling facial modeling, choice pale bisque with eloquent features, superb all-wooden rare body.
