15" (38 cm). Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked and multi- feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with modeled white space between the outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, early composition and wooden body with loose ball joints at shoulders and elbows, straight wrists, attached ball-jointed at hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10. Comments: Kestner, circa 1885. Value Points: very pretty classic child doll with closed mouth, lovely complexion, original body and body finish, wig, pate, and beautiful antique costume, straw bonnet with flowers, and white kid leather shoes.
